Benigno S. Magpoc was born November 14, 1914 in Samal, Bataan in the Philippines, and he passed away on Friday, February 17, 2012 at St. Vincent's Hospital. He was the youngest son of Canuto and Catalina Siasat Magpoc. He had 3 brothers (deceased): Sixto, Juan, and Marcelino; and 3 sisters (deceased): Romana, Celerina, and Jovita. He was married to Pascuala Vicente (deceased). Benigno is survived by his 4 daughters: Rosalyn Almazan, Engracia Inton, Irene Pacana, and Maria Mercedes Villamater; 10 grandchildren: Marian Almazan Shelton and Ruby Almazan; Jammy Inton; Paulus, Jerald, Julius, Alvin, and Eiffel Pacana; Justin and Brent Villamater; and 6 great-grandchildren: Cori-Jane and Mason Almazan Shelton; Tristan and James Pacana; Anime and Kenshin Pacana.
The 9-day Novena will be held Friday February 17th - Saturday February 25th at Rose Almazan's house. Viewing services will be held on Tuesday, February 21st from 6-8pm (rosary at 6:30pm) at Hardage-Giddens Chapel Hill. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 22nd at 12pm at Holy Spirit Catholic Church followed by a procession to Chapel Hill Memory Garden where he will be laid to rest. The reception will be held at East Coast Buffet in Regency (next to Lowe's).
