

Bernard L. Kramer, age 73, passed away Friday, October 12, 2012 in Jacksonville, Florida. Bernie was born October 8, 1939 in Edgewood, Illinois to Henry and Mary (Roedl) Kramer. He was raised and practiced the Catholic faith. Bernie was a Vietnam Vet who retired as a Chief Petty Officer of the United Sates Navy. He went on to serve our country several more years with the Civil Service. He was a member of the VFW Post 79, American Legion Post 0400 and a previous Chief Ranger of the Independent Order of the Foresters and member of the Loyal Order of the Moose. He is preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Denise Hassan . Survivors include his loving wife of 46 years, Barbara (Bobbi) L. Kramer; two daughters Trushonia (Micki) Kramer and Tiffany Kramer; one son Shannon Kramer; two brothers Woody Kramer (Mary Alice) and Tony Kramer (Peggy); six sisters Barbara Legner (Jeff), Peggy Blanchard, Anita Brazzell (Jerry), Mary Adelle Parker (Peggy Johnston), Anicia Kramer, Cami Jo Pisklak (Steve); four grandchildren Devin Kramer, Kierra Kramer-Perrone, Jacob Kramer and Madeline Dill-Kramer. Bernie was a loyal, loving and devoted husband and father. He was the kind of friend a friend would want to have. He was generous, kind and stubborn, but he lived his life with steadfast integrity. The Kramers will receive family and friends from 5:00 to 7:00 pm Monday, October 22, 2012 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville FL 32205. A Blessing will follow the visitation with Father Tim Lozier. Funeral services will be Tuesday October 23, 2012 11:00 am in the Town & Country chapel with Pastor Ben Kesselring officiating. Cremation will follow these services and Burial at Sea will take place at a later date.
