Family was Bernice’s passion and delight. She was a wonderful mother to Vickie Brint, Vera Thrift and Valerie Brooks; a devoted wife to Thomas Starling a loving grandmother to Danielle and Dustin Johnson, Emily Thrift, Chelsea Brint and Clay Brooks; and a loving great grandmother to Phoenix Ruben.
She also leaves behind her brother Truman Rafuse, and numerous nieces, nephews and loving friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, April 27, 2018 at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at 10:00am in the Chapel located at Hardage-Giddens.
