Momma,
I miss you so much and the days seem so hard to deal with but I try and remember all that you have taught me  and it helps. I have not had the strength to go and visit you yet but I guess when my heart is stronger I will. I got you a Mother's Day card and I will read it to you later today, you know I always gave your gifts to you early; so I figure why stop now. Mom, as I am writing to you it is so very painful because I see your photo to the left of me and you look so peaceful and beautiful. Words cannot express the heaviness on my heart and I feel so empty without you. I carry you each day in my heart but I want to be able to kiss you, hug you and see your beautiful face. Is that selfish of me, well Aunt Chris had a bad day yesterday as I did but I was strong for her. We all miss you so very much. R.I.P. my dearest Mother, my Angel!!!  Love your daughter

Memaw this is me, your grandbaby cece. I love you miss you so much. To this very day it doesn't seem real that you are gone. I know its apart of life but its so hard to cope with this. Memaw do you miss all of us? I'm tearing up right now writing you because thats all i can do. Memaw you have to watch over our family, your family Aunt chris etc all the time. Memaw you touched so many people, you helped others gave to those who needed even if you didn't have it to gove. You were a awesome well all around mother, grandma, sister, best friend, cousin, confidant everything. And you sure could make some sweet potato pie. I'm going to miss your jokes, your laughs, your free lessons, your surprises down at the apartment and more. Your smile and laugh was a beautiful loving feature. Memaw you had a good heart and spirit. A lot of indivduals looked up to you. Memaw i wish you could come back to be here with us in no pain no suffering what so ever. I wish you could come down from heaven and tell me you love me and that everything will be ok. Most of all memaw you left two wonderful children. I know uncle tony misses you so much but i also know mama misses you too. She told me sometimes she feels lonely. Memaw along with us trying to help keep her head high can you comfort her as well. You and mama were two peas in a pod. You can only imagine how mama is taking this. Not well if i may add. One day all of us will be acquainted together again. Right? Well memaw i'm about to get offline. I know your watching me write this, so I LOVE YOU MEMAW. ALWAYS AND FOREVER I WILL CARRY YOU WITH ME <3

Tony and I had a visit with you today. I wish I would have had you longer in our lives. All the lives you have touched, they will never be the same. You will forever be a special lady. We miss you.

I really enjoyed your service. You are loved by so many. I will miss your calls and talks we had. I am gonna do my best to take care of Tony. Thank you for all you have given to us. You are what every Mother should want to be. I miss you.

Words could never express the saddness and pain that I experience every day since your going home to our Heavenly Father. I find myself wanting to walk down and check on you as I would always do everyday once I would get home from work. I know may sound cliche but you are the best mother anyone could ever have; you always comforted me when I was sad; made me laugh when I wanted to cry and always gave me the advice that was needed at the right time. I have the " Best Mother" Please, continue to look down on your child and continue to help me along this long journey that I must endure. Just wanted to say that I have never met a more positive person than you!  The day I met you, you lived up to what the principal said, "You are GREAT," just like your name.  It seems like although I only knew you for nine months, I have known you forever.  Your wit and positivity made me love you.  I know from the things that we talked about with my dad and just our lives and beliefs, that you are at peace now, watching westerns all day and finally doing the walking we were talking about. I met Mrs. D my first year at Lake Shore Middle. Before I knew her name she was "the lady with the umbrella". You could see her walking around campus shading herself from the sun. The first time she spoke to me she stopped me in the hall to tell me how beautiful my smile was and that I always smiled every time she saw me. I could always count on her to say a kind and encouraging word or prayer. I can also say that no matter what every time I saw her she had a smile on her face. Her beautiful spirit and presence will be missed. My sincere condolences and prayers are with the family and friends of Mrs. Degrate.

My Dearest mother,
I am sitting here thinking of you and all that I will miss about you. We were joined at the hip and I am lost without you. I know you are with our Heavenly Father now but I can't help but feel pain deep within my heart. I find myself going down to your apt. and walking in and saying" Ola Momma Sita" the saying I would always greet you with when I come to check on you from work. Mom, You are my life and now that you have went on to Glory ; I have to find a way to carry on( I have your grands to care for) I ask God everyday to make me strong in my heart and mind to deal with your passing.
