Mrs. Betty M. Taylor passed away on July 16, 2020. She was born August 30, 1931 in Tennille, Georgia and moved to Jacksonville as a young girl. Mrs. Taylor worked for the City of Jacksonville for 43 years retiring from the Duval County Supervisor of Elections Office. She was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and loved her family dearly. Mrs. Taylor was a beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
Mrs. Taylor is survived and loved deeply by her son, Kevin Taylor; granddaughter Shannon Taylor (Peyton); great-granddaughter Luna; brother Thomas L. Davis (Gloria); and sister Lynn Davis. Mrs. Taylor was predeceased by her parents Willie and Gladys Davis; brothers Bill and Ronnie Davis; and sister Frances Wallis.
The family will receive friends Thursday, July 23, 2020 from 1:30 to 2:30 pm at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral service will be conducted by Pastor John Montgomery in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 pm with interment to follow at Riverside Memorial Park.
