Billy Wayne Cox, age 83, passed away on December 22, 2025. He was born in Jacksonville, FL on October 24, 1942, to Andy Edward Cox and Bessie Mae Garner. He was U.S. Army SP4 and later worked as an over-the-road truck driver.
Billy enjoyed spending time with family, collecting records, just tinkering and playing on Facebook. He also loved old cars, shopping on Temu and being around trucks (semi-trucks).
He is survived by sons, Timmy Cox and Ritchie Cox (Marie); daughter, Sheri White (Chris), 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by brother, Jack Cox; sister, Darlene Cox; father, Andy Edward Cox; mother, Bessie Mae Garner Cox; and wife, Patricia Annette Ward Cox.
A Special Thanks to Kim and Cory Dubbe for taking such good care of our daddy until his last breath. They made sure he had what he wanted and when he wanted it and that he was at peace and comfortable. They were amazing. We will be forever grateful.
A Celebration of Life will be held April 11, 2026 at 12:00 p.m., 7525 Rampart Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32244.
