

Evelyn was born on March 22, 1932 in Bacon County, GA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Reppard Carter (GA) and Mabel Carter (P.J.) Aspinwall, her late husband of 38 years, Joseph Adron Quattlebaum, her son Dallas Randall Quattlebaum and daughter, Teresa Marie West, all of Jacksonville.
Upon completion of her didactive training she went to work for CIGNA Insurance Company where she remained until her retirement in 1987. She was a beloved wife, sister, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend. Her spunky nature and larger than life personality truly made her one of a kind. To know her was to love her. She enjoyed listening to both country and gospel music, fishing, watching Tar Heel basketball and spending quality time with family and friends.
Survivors include her sisters Aline (John) Ibach of Jacksonville, Peggy Carter (Mark) Cooper of DelRay Beach, Johnette Powell (N. GA), her brothers Reppard (Butch) Carter, Jr. (GA), Wayne (Susan) Aspinwall of Rocky Mount, NC, her daughter, Gwendolyn Aline Ollie of Panama City, her son James Andrew Quattlebaum of Jacksonville, eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren, two nieces and two nephews.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 12, 2016 at 1:00 p.m.at Hardage-Giddens, Chapel Hills Funeral Home 850 St. Johns Bluff Rd. N. Jacksonville, FL with burial to follow in Chapel Hills Memory Gardens. The family will received friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
