

Charles Harris, age 47, passed away April 30, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. Charles was born on January 14, 1970 in Milton, Florida to Charles T. and Shirley Harris. He attended Rolling Hills Baptist Church and was a volunteer at Community Health Outreach Pantry and Ministry. Charles loved to go fishing. He was also an avid sports fan; he loved NASCAR, the Atlanta Braves, the Florida State Seminoles, and was also a Houston Texans fan. Charles was a loving husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend; he will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Charles is preceded in death by his grandparents, Bertha Mae and Oliver Harris; one brother, Tommy Harris; mother-in-law, Terry Day; and Wendy's grandparents, Julian and Ruby Reese. He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Wendy Day Harris; parents, Chuck and Shirley Harris; one brother, Doug Harris (Leigh Anne); one sister, Linda Bennett (Robert); and one nephew, Thomas Harris.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at 11:00am at Hardage-Giddens Edgewood Chapel, 729 South Edgewood Avenue. Pastor Doug Harris, Brother Gil Witcher, and Pastor Steve Gunter will serve as officiants. A visitation will be held one hour at the funeral home beginning at 10:00am. Committal services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2017 at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, beginning at 12:30pm.
