Dale Scott Turner

Dale Scott Turner, age 48, of Jacksonville, Florida passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2020. Dale was born on November 5, 1971 in Jacksonville, Florida to Nigel and Vickie Turner. Dale graduated from Trinity Christian Academy. He worked for Blue Cross Blue Shield for many years. Dale enjoyed and had a passion for NASCAR, and was an avid Jeff Gordon fan. He enjoyed going to races at Daytona, Charlotte, and also traveled to Atlanta in the past to attend races. Dale was a loving son, brother, grandson, uncle, and the dearest friend anyone could ask for. He will be deeply and sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.

Dale is preceded in death by his grandparents, Arthur and Ruby Turner; and grandfather, Paul Strigle.

He is survived by his parents, Nigel and Vickie Turner of Jacksonville, Florida; his sister, Tammy Hildebrand and brother-in-law Eric Hildebrand; niece, Taylor Hildebrand; nephew, Dalton Hildebrand; grandmother, Allene Strigle; as well as extended family members and numerous friends.

A celebration of Dale's life will be held on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Jones Road Baptist Church, 2506 Jones Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32220. In lieu of flowers, please honor Dale's memory and designate memorial contributions to the Jeff Gordon Children's Foundation (for Pediatric cancer) at https://www.jeffgordonchildrensfoundation.org/ or please designate memorials to Jones Road Baptist Church.
