Danny was born on April 20, 1942 to Mary and Robert Carroll in New York City.
He held many roles in his life from military to scoutmaster to baseball coach, to avid New York Mets and Jacksonville Jaguars fan. His greatest role was that of friend, son, brother, husband, father and grandfather.
Although Danny is gone, he will live in our hearts forever. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Arlene; his children Paul (Christine) Carroll, Leslie Ann (Ralph) Guerra, Heather Roark, Brian Carroll and Donna Carroll; 12 grandkids and 8 great-grandkids; his 4 sisters and numerous nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, February 11, 2026 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home at 7243 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL
A funeral service will occur Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 10:00 AM, at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 8523 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville FL. A committal service will occur following the funeral service at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park, 7243 Normandy Blvd.
A reception to celebrate Danny will be held at Harvest Ministries, 2550 Fouraker Rd. following the committal service.
The family requests that donations be made to the Wounded Warrior project in his name.
