Danny E. Scott, 84, passed away Friday, January 11, 2013. He was born on October 29, 1928 in Bainbridge, Georgia. Danny was a devoted father, a member of the masonic lodge, and retired from Central Truck Lines. He is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Linza and Ruby Scott; brother, Reverend Jake Scott; son, Mikell Scott, and great-grandson Tyler Myatt. Danny is survived by his wife of 44 years, Ruby Scott; brothers; Milton, and Gene Scott; sister, Eloise Brock; his four children, Mitchell (Cindy), Monica, Donnie (Nadine), and Larry (Linda); 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and a host of relatives and friends. The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 15, 2013, 5:00pm -7:00pm at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL. 32205. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 at 11:00am, in the Chapel of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home. Burial will follow to Riverside Memorial Park Cemetery of Jacksonville, FL.
