He was born in Illinois on May 13, 1954, a son of the late William and Rosie (Cantrell) Chism. He proudly served in the US Marines and worked as an AC repair technician for most of his life. He loved God and his country, had a soft spot for animals, and spent his spare time watching NASCAR and doing brain-teasers.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Julia (Popp) Chism, 3 brothers: John, James, and Troy, as well as a sister, Carol Ann. He is survived by a sister, Burma (Chism) Pugh, his 3 sons and their partners: John, Cody & Kelsey, and Zach & Taylor, as well as several nieces, nephews, and grand nieces and nephews."
