

David V. LaBrie, age 78, faithful, wonderful husband, devoted and loving father, and grandfather passed away December 30, 2012 at home in the arms of his wife and surrounded by his children after a battle with cancer. He was born January 24, 1934 in Bennington, Vermont and lived in Jacksonville for the past 50 or more years. David served his country in the USMC in the Korean War. David retired from the JEA after 20 years of service and had the largest sheep farm in northeast Florida until a few months before his passing. David loved his family, life and laughter. With his love and guidance he had a tremendous and positive impact and influence on many people. He will be deeply missed by his family and many friends. David leaves behind his sweetheart and loving wife of 34 years, Linda E LaBrie; his three daughters Renee Stambaugh( Phil) , Denise LaBrie-Woodard, and Lauren Daniels; two sons Raymond (Trisha) and Victor; one brother Gerry LaBrie (Marilyn);four grandchildren Adam Daniels (Amanda), Emory Daniels, Rusty and Chloe LaBrie. Family will receive family and friends 4:00 – 6:00 pm, Thursday, January 3, 2013 at Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL. 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com . A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:00 am, Friday January 4, 2013, at Most Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, 8523 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32221. Interment will follow the mass at Riverside Memorial Park. In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made in David’s honor to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida, 4266 Sunbeam Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257.
