Donald R. Bell Sr., was born in Jacksonville, Florida on February 14, 1937. He passed away on November 12, 2019 at his home. He served in the U.S. Army. Retired after 25 years as a union truck driver with Roadway Express. He was a Deacon and Treasurer for Temple Baptist Church.
Donald is preceded in death by his parents, Elick and Bessie Bell; Brothers, Daniel, Chandler and OJ; and Sisters, Catherine, Julia and Leona.
Donald is survived by his wife of 62 years, Norma Bell; son Robbie Bell (Lilah); grandson, Robert Bell; and great grandchildren Macey, Rob, Carol Lynn and Emma.
The family will receive friends at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, on Sat. November 16, 2019 from 5:00 – 7:00pm. Funeral services will be held at Temple Baptist Church, 485 Halsema Rd N, with burial to follow at Sellers Cemetery.
