Dorothy Jeannette Elder

She was preceded in death by her daughter Deborah Rae Thompson and siblings Hastings, Lib, Vera, Beck, Mike, Ken and George.

She is survived by her loving son Jason Kennedy Henderson, her grandchildren Tiffani (Mike) and Matthew, a great granddaughter Taylour (Ian) and her sister Dianne Catarius and many nieces and nephews.

Jeannette was an active volunteer at the city rescue mission and a 50+ year member of Biltmore Baptist Church. She loved working puzzles and doing crafts. She held weekly craft classes for many years where she developed many long standing friendships. She loved serving her friends, family and anyone in need. She will be remembered for helping others. Her grace and spirit gave strength to everyone she met. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Biltmore Baptist Church.

A visitation for Dorothy will be held Thursday, August 8, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 12:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 1:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
