Dorothy M Rothweiler

Dorothy M. Rothweiler, age 89, of Jacksonville, FL passed away on Friday, July 18, 2025. Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at The Well at Crystal Springs, 9120 Crystal Springs Road with Reverend Dwayne Sumner officiating.

Dorothy Rothweiler was born on January 30, 1936, in Jacksonville, FL. Dorothy is the daughter of the late Patrick Miles and Harriett Seewing. Dorothy graduated from Robert E. Lee High School and worked at Prudential Insurance Co. before having children. When her children all started school, she became a school crossing guard for Annie R. Morgan and Biltmore Elementary Schools before retiring. She was a member at West Normandy Baptist Church, which is now known as The Well at Crystal Springs.

Dorothy was a loving and caring lady and will be deeply missed by family and friends. She was a Christian lady who believed in Jesus Christ as her personal Lord and Savior. Dorothy had the assurance of joining her husband, George H. Rothweiler of 55 years, as well as her daughter Barbara Hern (Robert) and her brothers and sister in heaven. Left to cherish many memories of Dorothy are her children: daughter, Dianne Copeland (Johnny); sons, Alan Rothweiler (Kim) and Richard Rothweiler (Sandra); six grandchildren, Tina Martinez (Raymond), Melissa Rothweiler, Alan Rothweiler (Haley), Stacey Miller (Wesley), Kerri Jarrell and Johnny Copeland; five great-grandchildren, Robert Martinez, Aaron Miller, Abigail Miller, Camryn Jarrell and Connor Jarrell.

The family would like to express sincere gratitude to the dedicated staff of Community Hospice and Palliative Care for the exceptional and loving care provided to our loved one, as well as the compassion and support provided to the family.

The family will receive friends and family for viewing at 10:30 a.m. and Funeral Services will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025, at 11:30 a.m. at The Well at Crystal Springs. Interment will immediately follow at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205.
