

Edmond Keith Kirkland, referred to as Keith, passed away on Monday, October 27, 2025, at the age of 65. He was born on Christmas Eve (12/24) of 1959 to his parents, Earl Charles Kirkland Jr. and Jeanette (Sheffield) Kirkland.
Keith was a 1977 graduate of Edward H. White High School and obtained his Bachelor’s Degree from Lee College as well as attending the Church of God School of Theology.
On June 20, 1981, he was wed to the love of his life, Sheila (Braddock) Kirkland. They enjoyed a 44-year-long marriage. They had one daughter (Kandice) and one granddaughter (Elayne).
After his schooling, he went on to pastor chapels in Tennessee, Indiana, and his home state of Florida for 30 years. As a pastor to small congregations, he always maintained employment at a 9-to-5 job. His last place of employment was Hardage-Giddens SCI, where he had a wonderful career as a sales manager and broke many sales records, as well as impacting the lives of his employees and the people he served as clientele.
Keith loved to travel and cruise. He was a connoisseur of fine clothing and food. He was an avid reader from childhood until his death, with his favorite author remaining Louis L’amour for the entirety of his life.
The family that he leaves behind are his wife, Sheila (Braddock) Kirkland, his daughter, Kandice Kirkland, and his granddaughter Elayne Kirkland-Benefield. He is also survived by his brother Kevin R. Kirkland, his wife, Brenda (Platt)Kirkland, as well as their children, K. Ryan Kirkland, Rachel Kirkland Bryant, and Drew Bryant.
Also survived by his eldest niece by marriage, Tiffany (Munday) Page, her husband, Darrell Page, their daughters, Briannah and Peyton Page, as well as her brother Jason Munday.
As a member of a large family, Keith leaves behind many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. As well as many friends who would consider him family. Finally, a little fur ball named Regal Sackett Kirkland will also miss his Daddy.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Riverside Event Pavilion, 1373 Memorial Park Rd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on November 22, 2025, at 12:00 pm.
A Committal service will follow at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on November 22, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
