Keith was always quick with an entertaining story to tell to friends and folks around him.  He will be missed very much by his friends.

Mr. Keith was one of the last “good guys” as my dad would have said. He never met a stranger, and had a heart of gold. My mom used to talk about Mr. Keith and Ms. Shelia all the time and when I finally got to meet them both it was like being welcomed into the fold. There is nothing he wouldn’t have done for his family or his friends, and this world is a better place because of him. Ms. Shelia, I’m so glad you had him for as long as you did before he was called home. I know he will be missed greatly but please take comfort in all of the wonderful memories and know that you and your precious family are very much loved.

Dearest Keith, your passing has lost the world a " good God loving man."  You and your family have been so good to me.  You were always there for me when I needed you, and I will always love and keep you and the family in my prayers.

Keith was a very caring person. He was very funny as well with stories of times when he was young. He was a kind soul. He will be missed💞

Too many memories to count. Mistuh Keifuh was a titanic presence wherever he went, a man of few words but with a huge and steady heart. I practically grew up at the Kirkland house, and I consider Shelia and Keith my second parents. I’m so thankful for all the time we had together, for all the adventures and fun, and the many, many good meals together <3 We love and miss you, undertaker!

Keith was more like my big brother than my cousin. An extraordinary man who was always there for me, always supporting and encouraging me.  He would sit with my dad for hours on end and my dad would talk about their visit for weeks later. He meant so much to so many and truly will be missed.

The last few months have been hard watching my good friend Keith slowly drift away. He will be sorely missed by me and my wife Reagan (whom he called regularly to check in and confirm our weekend activities). Although we only knew Keith for a few years, the comfort we had with him and his family far exceeded that. He was the first to introduce us to Wine Wednesdays at RSL and one of the first people we met at Saturday Sippers. Neither will be the same without you brother. Hope you are having a good time on the other side, till we meet again, rest easy Undertaker.

Sheila, I am so saddened by the passing of Keith as he holds a very special place in my heart.  When I went through a devastating time in my life, Keith was the only person from my church that came to my home to be sure that I was ok.  I will always be thankful for his caring nature.  I'm praying for the peace of God that surpasses all understanding.  Love you.

Mr Keith's kindness and ability too make everyone feel welcomed and known was amazing. Our 1st encounter w/him l felt like l'd known him for years. I would love when he'd come pick up his sweet mama Ms Jeanette from our house. The long talks he, my husband Isaac and myself would have were priceless. His knowledge of the Word of God, advice for life, marriage, parenting and his wisdom always left room for us to continue the conversations long after he'd left.
Mr Keith's laugh was Contagious filled with Joy, Big and Authentic (His laugh made you laugh)! Isaac watched the way he'd loved and care for his mama, spoke highly about his brother Kevin and took notes. l'd watch how he and Ms Jeanette would interact w/each other from the hugs and kiss of greeting one another to their laugher and talks about his childhood. l witnessed how he's loved and cared for the 3 MOST Important women in his life and saw his strength, gentleness and joy in doing soo. Mr Keith is/was their Everything. It has been an Blessing and a Honor to have  spent time with Mr Keith as well as you Mrs Shelia and your beautiful family over the years.

Keith was a man of few words — but when he did speak, it was always kind. He never had a bad thing to say about anyone. He had this quiet way of making you feel at ease, just by being around. You didn’t need to fill the silence with Keith — it was comfortable. He was steady, genuine, and good-hearted, and I feel really lucky to have had him as my friend.

Martha and I send our love and our prayers to you, Kandice, and Laney.  Keith fought a good fight, finished the course, and he held firmly to his faith in his Savior, Jesus Christ. 

Years ago, Keith and I would meet  together to discuss the Word of God, sharing our thoughts and good reads(books) with each other. Keith loved to discuss the deep things of God and he sometimes overwhelmed me with his knowledge of the Bible. Those are good memories for me.  I was only his cousin by marriage to Martha, but more importantly Keith and I were Brothers in Christ. 

We can take comfort in knowing we will see Keith again one day on that beautiful shore.

Mr . Keith , I haven't known what to say I've been In more shock then anything ,the memories the talks we would have abt the family   times you came into cracker barrel to see the girls  and to eat and drink coffee read that book you always had ,You would always  hugged me and said if I needed anything to just call I cant do that now . I know Mrs. Shelia is still going to come and see me but its not the same without you 💔 😢.  Im still going to look for the good looking  man with her but she has you in her heart .  Love you fly high ❤️

Keith was a good husband, father and friend. He was always kind and had a great sense of humor. Keith was a blessing to many people but especially to his family, his wife Shelia, daughter Kandice and granddaughter Layney. Keith you will be missed here on earth.

It’s hard to say goodbye to a dear friend whose love of life was matched only by his love of great food and good wine.  He taught us that a shared meal was more than plates and glasses, its laughter, curiosity and connection.  Keith approached every experience with joy and generosity.  His performance at work was equal to his impeccable palate, I loved working with him.  Sheila and Kandice- May his memory continue to fill your hearts, rich, warm and unforgettable.

Keith was a dear friend, mentor and my Pastor.  We live in Indiana.  Keith and Sheila had moved her to minister.  If Keith was your friend, then he was closer than a brother.  Keith was the very definition of what a Pastor should be.  When the Army sent me away, Keith and Sheila were always there to support my wife and keep my 4 teenagers in line.  Spoke at my Army Retirement, married my Daughter to her Husband, helped my wife bathe me when I couldn't bathe myself while recovering from a life threatening illness.  Tell me who would do that these days.  I could go on and on.  We hated to see the family move back to Florida, but knew it was to be.  Over the years we have kept in touch.  How do you capture the essence of a man in a few words.  I love you Keith and you are greatly missed.  Our prayers are with the family and all the folks you touched during your short life.

Mr. Kirkland, Keith, my dear friend, is many things; husband, father, grandfather, brother, son, friend and a spiritual man who loved to cruise, a real wordsmith, known to have an adult beverage from time to time, a real "foodie", has exceptional knowledge of wine, bourbon, whiskey, tequila,  and fine cigars. Keith was not only a great friend, I value him as a beloved brother. He and I  had many adventures and experiences both in Florida and abroad. He is an exceptional human being and will remain a part of my human experience always.  I love and will miss sharing time and experiences with him. God bless you, my dear, loyal and trustworthy brother and friend.

Keith has been such a beautiful part of my life from early childhood to marrying me and my husband. He brought so much beauty for food and music to our lives. Any time we needed him he was there. I have so many memories that include him and his family. He taught me so much about God and faith and love. In his daughter I found the younger sister I always wanted. I have watched her grow into her own with such a beautiful soul. Her creativeness and artwork with food remind me so much of Keith. I will always remember the laughter and love. Annnd that time he started out a sermon by quoting the righteous brothers with You’ve lost that loving feeling. I love you Shelia and Kandice
