Edward Dane Thomason passed away August 1, 2012 at the age of 83. Known as Dane on his side of the family, Tommy on his wife's side of the family and Ed to his friends, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Donna Lou, his mother, Gladys, father, Lloyd and brother, Tommy Thomason. He is survived by his daughter, Juanita (Joe); his grandson; Lucas, great-granddaughter, Victoria, great-grandsons; Phillip, Andrew and William; sister-in-laws; Marynell Thomason, Beaulavieve Busbee (Harry) and Laura Mae Smith, and nieces and a nephew. Ed retired from the military in 1968 after serving 9 years in the Navy and 11 years in the Air Force. He worked at several locations until retiring to take care of his wife Donna Lou until her death in 2002. He will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax., FL 32205. Visitation will be held on Monday, August 6, 2012 from 6:00-8:00 pm. A private burial will be held at a later date.
