Eleanor C. Head

Our dear mother, grandmother and friend, Eleanor Head, left her children and family on June 27 to go home and be with Jesus Christ and our Lord and Savior. Eleanor was born Mach 30, 1930 in Pensacola, FL. She was predeceased by her husband, Randall Head, Jr. in 2005. Eleanor was a member of Hyde Park Baptist Church, Jacksonville, FL and leaves a legacy anyone would cherish. Eleanor devoted her life to her family. She was involved in all school and scouting activities with her children. She loved the outdoors, fishing and camping. She worked for 22 years as a PBX operator at Montgomery Wards and developed a passion for collecting telephones. She was a charter member of the PBX Club of Jacksonville for 36 years and held every office in her local and state clubs. She leaves behind her daughter, Ronda Godbold (Roy); son, Randy Head III (Joan); son, Mike Head (Barbara); daughter, Jane Stidham (Ernie); 11 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and special friend, Rod Peate. She is also survived by her remaining sister, Lunette (Joan) Wilson. Visitation in Jacksonville will be held 5:00-7:00 on Sunday, June 30, at Hyde Park Baptist Church, 2000 Lane Avenue South, Jacksonville, FL 32210. Services will be held at 11:00 on Monday, July 1, at Hyde Park Baptist Church. Visitation in Pensacola, FL will be held on Wednesday, July 3 at 10:00 at Bayview Fisher-Pou Chapel, Bayview Memorial Park,3351 Scenic Hwy, Pensacola, FL 32503. Services will follow at 11:00.
