

Born on June 2, 1944, to Buck and Ruth Ward, Betty Ann was the third of six daughters. She graduated from Lee High School in 1962 before moving to Kentucky, where she raised her three children on a farm. In 1989, she returned to Jacksonville and was reunited with her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, Richard Crosby. The two married on February 22, 1991, and together enjoyed many years of traveling and sharing life’s adventures.
Betty Ann was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters Sissy Kidd, Kathy Ward, and Mona Bloenk; and her beloved grandson, Dillon Lusby.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 34 years, Richard Crosby; her sisters Patty Foelk and Jan Ward; her children Tammy McDonald, Timothy (Melissa) Searcy, and Kristen Searcy; her stepdaughters Eve (Joel) Crosby and Beth (Frank) Sinquimani; and her grandchildren Elizabeth (Troy) Lusby, Megan Phillips, and Dawson Crosby. She also leaves behind her great-grandchildren Kaden Lusby, Sawyer, Greyson, and Eden Halbrendt, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors, and her loyal little furry companion, Abby.
A Graveside Service will be held on December 8, 2025, at 10:30 a.m. at Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Rd., Jacksonville, FL 32218.
