Esperanza Santa Mason

Esperanza is predeceased by her father, Jose Serrano.

Esperanza is survived by her loving husband, Mark K. Mason of 36 years. They were married in Jacksonville, FL on February 23, 1980.

Esperanza is lovingly remembered by her son, Allen M. (Jennifer) Mason; daughter, Crystal R. Mason; grandchildren, Ella and Ava Mason; mother, Dora I. Serrano; her sisters, Teresa (Don) Pattee and Pureza Serrano; brothers, Carlos H. Serrano, Vincent J. (Vanice) Serrano and Leo M. Serrano; nieces, Isolina and Teresa Osborne, Raquel Illingworth, Emily, Miranda and Arianna Serrano; nephews, Donald Ray Pattee, Alex and Sean Osborne, Leo and Joel Serrano all of Jacksonville, FL.

Esperanza was born in Bogata, Columbia, South America in 1956. Her family immigrated to America in 1964. She graduated from Forrest High School in 1975. After graduation, she enlisted in the Florida Army National Guard in 1975 and was Honorably Discharged in 1984. She also worked for Revlon/Colomer USA for 26 years.

What Esperanza enjoyed and loved most was spending time with and taking care of her family.

The visitation will be held at New Hope Baptist Temple, 9900 103rd St., Jacksonville, FL, 32210 on October 22, 2016 from 11AM – 12PM.

The funeral service will be held at New Hope Baptist Temple, 9900 103rd St., Jacksonville, FL, 32210 on October 22, 2016 from 12PM – 1PM with Reverend Charles Boldt officiating. A reception will take place at New Hope Baptist Temple on October 22, 2016 at 2PM.
