

She attended public schools in Valdosta and graduated high school there. On September 10, 1961 Eva married Grover C. Cox and added a son and a daughter to their family.
Eva retired after 30 years of dedicated service to BellSouth, working in Advertising and Publishing.
Flowers, thrift shopping and enjoying country/gospel music were some of Eva’s pastimes. Daytona Beach and the Florida Keys were favorite vacation spots; Best of all was spending time with her family and grandkids.
A member of Evangel Temple, Eva wanted to offer special thanks to her family, friends and caretakers for the love, prayers, and support they offered.
Eva was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Geneva Moore, sisters Bobbie M. Roberts, Helen Woodruff and Ann Dell Knowles; and brother Thomas J. Moore.
She is survived by her husband of 61 years, Grover C. Cox, daughter Donna Tomlin (Danny), son DeWayne Cox (Tiffany); sisters Juanita Daugherty (Ralph),
Reida Johnson (Robert) and brother Terry Moore (Frances). Also grandsons Bradley Tomlin, Bryan Tomlin and Jace Cox; a great-grandson John Tomlin. Numerous nieces and nephews will miss her, as well.
A visitation for Eva will be held Friday, December 9, 2022 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Friday, December 9, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A graveside service will occur Friday, December 9, 2022 from 3:00 PM to 3:30 PM at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
