Evelyn L. Sheppard, age 93, passed away January 2, 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida to be Home with the Lord. Evelyn was born on March 6, 1926 in Nashville, Georgia. She loved cooking, sewing, knitting, and crocheting. Evelyn was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; she will be deeply and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Frank Brantley and Lily Mae Brantley; her husband, Milton Buddy Sheppard; one son, George Thomas Sheppard; and one brother and ten sisters. She is survived by her daughters Linda L. Godwin (Jerry) and Cheryl D. Sheppard; grandchildren Traci M. Pfeifer (Jesse), Michael T. Sheppard (Mindi), Robert A. Sheppard, and BreAnn N. Sheppard; and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are being held privately at a later date.
HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERSIDE MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, is serving the family.
