

One of God’s Angel’s, Grace Carbajal Coia, returned to heaven on October 20, 2012. She fought long and hard against her disease, and now is without pain with our Lord. She was a wonderful caring mother and sister. She was the strength and heart of her family. Grace was always willing to lending a helping hand to those in need. She is loved and always be remembered. Grace was born in Waco, TX. She graduated from University High School. She joined the United States Navy shortly after graduating high school. She and her husband moved to Jacksonville, Fl in 1974. She was employed by the United States Navy Civil Service until she recently retired. She is preceded in death by her father Bennie Carbajal and her brother Bennie Carbajal Jr. She is survived by her mother, Ernestine Carbajal, her husband of 43 years of marriage, Edward Coia, her daughters, Monique Grace Coia and Tina Marie Coia and her grandson Marcus Aleczander Coia. She was the second oldest child in her family. She is also survived by her sisters Mrs. Diana Torrez and husband Joe Torrez, Mrs. Louise Brown and husband Tommy Brown, her brothers Henry Carbajal, Richard Carbajal and his wife Anotonia Carbajal and Robert Carbajal and his wife Barbara Carbajal. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and adopted family members. The family was to give special thanks to all the doctors and nurses at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Fl for all the care and treatment that they gave to her. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Mayo Clinic of Jacksonville. Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home located at 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jax., FL 32205. A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 26, 2012 at 2pm in the chapel.
