

Mrs. Gwendolyn Frazier transitioned to her heavenly home on August 5, 2024 peacefully at home with her family by her side. She was born and raised in Jacksonville, Fl to the late Mr. Mervin Clayton and Mrs. Carolyn E. Coleman.
Gwendolyn accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and savior at a young age and had been serving Him ever since. She was a proud member at Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church where she served as a deaconess. She was an alumni of Old Stanton High School (now known as Stanton College Preparatory School) and later got her degree in nursing through Florida Junior College (now known as FSCJ). In 2018, she retired with 44 years of experience as a RN. Gwendolyn loved helping others and transitioned from an RN to an Elder Advocate helping those in need. She loved her family and loved seeing each of them smile. During her remaining years she spent her time as a devoted mother, grandmother, aunt, best babysitter, and all around friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Frazier Jr.; her son, Edward Darryl Frazier; and her sister, Linda Holmes. Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter, Constance Renee Townes (Jamie Townes); her niece/daughter, Kenya Preston (Charles Preston); Grandson, Joshua Frazier; Granddaughter, Jaila Allen (Bruce Allen); and Great-grands Chara Kamille Preston, Khloe Symone Preston and Bella Noelle Allen.
A visitation for Gwendolyn will be held Friday, August 16, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. A funeral service will occur Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Mt. Lebanon Missionary Baptist Church, 9319 Ridge Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32208. A committal service will follow the church service at Edgewood Cemetery.
