

He enlisted in the Navy in 1943 during the height of World War II after graduating high school. He served on the USS Thomas Jefferson during the invasion of Normandy, Southern France, and Okinawa. He attended college and then entered into a job training program for Highway engineers of NYS Department of Transportation. He became engineer in charge of numerous interstate highway and expressway projects during his 34 year career while living in Bainbridge, New York. He retired in 1981 and moved to Jacksonville, Florida. He obtained a real estate brokers license and sold and managed real estate where he reached the million dollar club 3 times in his career. He visited 47 states mostly while on vacations or in the Navy.
Predeceased by his parents Beatrice and Arthur McFee, Brothers Robert McFee and Arthur Duclos. Granddaughter Joni (Rick) Fuller and Grandsons Shawn McFee and Jacob Lang.
Survived by his lovely wife of 74 years Sheila Coleman McFee. Brother Howard (Maria) McFee. Sons Bruce and Michael (Gretchen) McFee. Daughters Lauri Philp and Cheryl(Walter) McFee. Grandchildren David and Daniel Ford, Amanda (Joe) Winans, Adam (Anna) Philp, Alan (April) McFee, Aaron Philp, Andrew Philp, Caleb (Emily) Lang, and Justin Lang. Great Grandchildren Kaili Fuller, Alexis McFee, Bryant Fuller, Jalyn Winans, Colden McFee, Gavin Philp, Aven Lang, Macy McFee, Naomi Philp, Jayce Winans,Sylvia Lang, Clara Lang and Macie Philp.
