Hubert Aloys “Herb” Zimmermann Jr., 64, passed peacefully surrounded by family at HCA Florida Osceola Hospital in Kissimmee, Florida on Monday 7/22/2024. He spent his last days enjoying a family vacation in Orlando.
Herb was the proud owner and founder of a local Jacksonville business, P & Z Tile Company, Inc., which he started with his wife and in-laws in 1986. He was a huge sports and music fan, loved comedy, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Herb is predeceased by both parents, Hubert Aloys Zimmermann Sr. and Betty Jean Lee, a baby girl named Magen, a niece named Stephanie, and several close family friends including Kimberly Carter and Randy Rowe. He is survived by four siblings: Denise, Linda, Kim, and Michael; three children: Rebekah, Shelcee, and Herbie; the mothers of his children: Lisa Freeman and Patricia Parsons; five grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
His memorial service will be held at Hardage - Giddens Chapel Hills Funeral Home and Cemetery on Saturday, August 31, 2024 at 2 PM.
