

Jacqueline Margaret Reese Adams, 90, passed away on October 8, 2025 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on February 14, 1935 to Elizabeth Koris and William Thomas Reese in St. Petersburg, Florida.
After meeting the love of her life, Robert Dervis Adams, Sr., they eloped to Kingsland, Georgia and were married on February 15, 1953. Together they shared 67 years and built a beautiful family. They moved to Jacksonville in 1964 and were active members of Arlington Baptist Church. Jackie considered caring for her family and home her chosen profession. Her family meant everything to her as evidenced by her involvement in activities surrounding her husband and children. These activities included Girl Scouts troop leader, PTA committees, Room Mother responsibilities and High School Sports Booster Clubs.
Jackie was an integral part of the success of her husband’s Fuel Oil Business, that included a U Store It Parking Lot and Office Rental Space. She cheerfully served decades in many positions as a volunteer with Memorial Hospital Auxiliary including President, where she maintained many lifelong friendships. She enjoyed her fellowship with the ladies of The Red Hat Society.
Jackie was preceded in death by her brother Bill Reese (Houston, Texas) and by her loving husband Bob in 2020. She was survived by her brother Bobby Reese (Jackie), Delaware, and by her 5 children: Victoria Register (Douglas), St. John’s, Florida; Kimberlee Dowling (Ricky), Jacksonville, FL; Robin Adams (Steve), Stuart, FL; Rhonda Cromwell (Jimmy), Birmingham, AL; Rob Adams (Katie), Nassau County, FL. She was blessed to be “Gramma” by 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
A committal service will be held at Chapel Hills Memory Gardens, located at 850 St Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL 32225, on October 13, 2025, from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.
In Lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Tunnel to Towers Foundation or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
