

Jim Dundon 77, passed away peacefully on January 15, 2026, surrounded by loved ones. He was born on January 24,1948 in Toledo, Ohio to Veronica Jean and Arthur Cecil Dundon. He was a computer programmer at Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Michigan, then Gulf Life before returning to Blue Cross/Blue Shield of Florida where he retired.
He will be remembered for his generosity, steady friendship, and the dedication he brought to everything he pursued. Whether expanding his model train collection or standing on the steps of the Capitol advocating for the POW/MIA cause, Jim approached each endeavor with purpose and heart. He belonged to the American Legion and the VFW and a member of the NRA. Among his hobbies were American Flyer model trains and Family Ancestry.
Jim is survived by his wife, Celeste Dundon; his daughter and son in law, Terry and Donny McCullom; and his grandchildren Brittaney, Jesslyn, Kaylyn, and Alexandria. He also leaves behind his great grandchildren James Bradley, Paisly, and Layla. He was preceded in death by his daughter Nicole and his sister Janet.
His legacy of compassion, commitment, and love will continue to live on in all who knew him.
A visitation will be held January 28, 2026 at 9:00 AM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd. Jacksonville, FL , 32205. The funeral will begin at 10:30 in the same room. The committal service will follow the funeral at the Jacksonville National Cemetery, 4083 Lannie Road, Jacksonville, FL, 32218. Please gather in Lane 1 to be led to the committal shelter at 12:30.
