Jennifer Vance Cerni has completed her life journey. She died peacefully at home Wednesday morning in the presence of her daughter and oldest great-grandson. Jennifer was a life-long resident of Jacksonville. She was born at St. Vincent’s hospital and spent most of her life in Riverside. Jennifer graduated from St. Paul’s High School. She retired after a career as a civilian employee at the telephone office at NAS-Jacksonville. Jennifer always rooted for the Florida Gators and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and was unable to start the day until she finished reading the Florida Times Union. Jennifer was a proud and loving mother to three children; Paul, Michael and Donna, four grandchildren: IV, Sarah, Andrew and Katie and four great-grandchildren; Bailey, Lyric, Caleb and Alexandra. She is dearly missed by all. Visitation is scheduled this Saturday at 2:00pm June 21, 2014 at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL. 32205. Interment will follow at Riverside Memorial Park. Her family requests donations to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida in lieu of flowers.
