Jerry (Jay) “Kip” Norwood Brantley, III, age 73, Winter Haven, FL, passed away Thursday, September 12, 2024. Jay was born in Wilsonville, AL and a longtime resident of Jacksonville, FL, before retiring in Winter Haven, FL.
Jay served as a Practice Administrator at University of Florida Health and retired after 30 years of employment. He graduated from Nathan Bedford Forrest High School in 1969 and received his Bachelor’s Degree from Florida State University. Jay was an amazing father and husband as well as an avid music lover, fisherman and FSU fan.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Norwood Brantley, II and Ruth Ann Russell Brantley, and his sisters, Melanie Brantley, Jennifer Brantley and Bonnie Jean Deckerhoff.
His survivors include his lovely wife of 32 years Sheryl Miller Brantley, his son Wilson Miller Brantley, his daughter, Abigail Coryn Brantley, as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. A graveside service for family and close friends will be held Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 11:00 am at Riverside Memorial Park and Gardens, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205.
In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations to your local hospice in his memory.
