Jimmie Sue Smith

She is survived by her son David L Smith (59) of St Augustine, FL, daughter-in-law Angel, and granddaughters Hannah and Hailee. She is also survived by sister in laws Janice Blount of Marietta, Ga, Ann Rollison of Casselberry, FL, and Jane Sharrar of York, PA as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Ada M Smith (1895-1959), her father John B Blount (1890-1935), seven sisters, and four brothers.

She was born the baby of twelve in Tarrytown, GA and graduated from Soperton High School in 1952. She moved to Jacksonville, FL around 1955 where she met her husband to be Charles L Smith. They married in June 1959 and were together 55 years until his passing in 2014.

Susie enjoyed reading her bible, family get-togethers, talking on the phone, eating out, and watching football (especially the GA Bulldogs). She loved her family and friends and will be missed greatly.

A service to celebrate her life will be Saturday Feb 28 at The Church at Sun Coast, 4200 Georgetown Dr, Jacksonville, FL 32210. There will be a viewing and time of fellowship from 10:30-11:30 followed by a service, a graveside interment and lunch back at the church.
