Joann Kicklighter

Joann Kicklighter, age 73, passed away on February 10, 2017. Joann was born on March 1, 1943 in Ocilla, Georgia to Aubrey and Corine Kimbrell. She was retired from Michelin Tire and was a member of Fouraker Road Baptist Church. Joann loved listening to her favorite gospel music and loved going to church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, and adored all of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Joann was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; she will be sorely missed by all who loved and knew her.

Joann is preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey and Corine Kimbrell; her husband, Charles Kicklighter, SR.; sister and brother-in-law Marie and Bob Rogers; and daughter-in-law, Rebecca Kicklighter. She is survived by her son, Charles "Chuck" Kicklighter, of Jacksonville; two daughters, Cindy Simpson (Drew), of Cleveland, TN, and Tonya Kicklighter-Padilla (Henry) of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Kayla Kicklighter (Heath), Tiffany Stephens (Shawn), Kelly Stephens (Jason), Jacqueline Ruth, Brandy Hagan, and Kevin (Bubba) Hagan, all of Jacksonville, and Derrick Stephens, Trey Simpson, and Jacob Simpson,of Cleveland, TN; great-grandchildren, Heath Wesley Bryant, Shawn Paul Doughtry, JR., Logan Wester, Gannon LeRoy Godwin, Landon Ray Bryant , Bristol Aubrey Godwin, Dominic Phan, Aiden Godwin, Jason Godwin, JR., Tyler Wright, Alexis Crowder, and Shane Crowder, JR. ; brother, Aubrey Kimbrell (Kathy) of Moultrie, GA.; sisters, Beulah Ball (Gary), of Delano, MN and Merle Willeby (Tommy), of Bainbridge, GA; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 2:00pm at Fouraker Road Baptist Church, 1754 Fouraker Road, Jacksonville, Florida 32221, with Pastor Ody Witt officiating. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at Town and Country Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fouraker Road Baptist Church.
