Spellman, Kathleen (Kathy) Dees, 80, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at her home with her husband Philip by her side. She was born on August 18, 1936 to Marvin and Ruth Dees of Hatch Bend, Florida. She is survived by her Husband of 41 years, Philip Spellman; Step-Daughter, Amy MacEachern; Granddaughter, Hannah Odom; and siblings Margaret Hurst, Billy Dees, Inez Carnes, Betty Buchanan, Shirley Kelly and Mona Ruth Ferguson.
Kathy retired from CSX Railroad in July 1998 after 32 years of service. Family will receive friends and family at Kathy’s visitation on Thursday, October 13 from 10:00 - 11:00 am at Town and Country Funeral Home, with a funeral service to follow beginning at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family request donations to be made to Haven Hospice of North East Florida: 8301 Cypress Plaza, Suite 119, Jacksonville, FL 32256. HARDAGE-GIDDENS, TOWN & COUNTRY FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Blvd is serving the family.
