Kenneth Oswald Gill Sr., age 90, passed away Friday October 16, 2015 in Jacksonville, Florida. He was born February 23, 1925 in Sarasota, Florida to Oliver Rochester and Grace (Corbitt) Gill. Kenneth was member of Jacksonville Assembly of the Body of Christ Church. Kenneth help start Fruitville Volunteer Fire Department. He enjoyed watching the” Duke” John Wayne movies, treasure hunting, and telling stories of his life. He leaves to cherish his memories his loving wife of 32 years Joyce Gill; five sons Mitchel Gill (Verdie Ann), Kenneth Gill Jr., Danny Boye Gill (Norma), Richard Gill, and Wesley Gill (Lynn); four daughters Gracie Anderson (Lawton), Elizabeth Kalch (Mark), Valerie Denise Koch (Doug) , and Tavis Black; one brother Dorlos Gill ( Lula); two sisters Grace Othella Shealey (Jim) and Loreeta Green; thirty- four grandchildren; forty-nine great grandchildren; and 19 great –great grandchildren. Family will receive friends and family 1:00 – 2:00 Pm Monday, October 19, 2015 at Jacksonville Assembly of the Body of Christ Church, 6350 Old Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32254. Funeral services will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm at the church. Interment will follow the funeral service at Dinsmore Community Cemetery.
