Kimberly Anne Crawford Sumner passed away peacefully on September 5, 2016 at Haven Hospice in Orange Park, FL following a courageous and hard fought 9 year battle with AML Leukemia. Kimberly was born in Jacksonville, FL on February 6, 1967 to Nancy Tillis Crawford and Thomas Henry Crawford. Kimberly was predeceased by both her mother and father. Kimberly’s greatest accomplishment on Earth was her five beautiful children and ten Mimi’s girls and boys; she loved and protected them until her last breath.
Kimberly is survived by her children Jason Crawford (Nikki), Jessica Sumner, Joshua Sumner, Jeremiah Sumner (Teresa), and JoyLynn Bishop (Nate); and her Mimi's babies Bradley Cole, Brianna, Jayla, Sheyenne, Aubrey, Samantha, Shauna, Faith, Kelsey, and David. She is also survived by her sister Karen Minor (Kenny) and Kerrie Christos (Chris), and a host of family and friends. Kimberly loved music, painting, writing literature and poems, walking around barefoot, anything pink, and Minnie Mouse. Kimberly was also quite intelligent and enjoyed having conversations about many topics. Thank you Pamela Dale and Glenda Aunty G Bishop for having many opportunities to chat with Kimberly even though you never met.
The Celebration of Life for Kimberly will be held on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at one o' clock in the afternoon at Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home with visitation beginning at noon. A prayer service will be held the graveside following the Celebration of Life service. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or Haven Hospice.
