Larry Douglas Campbell

An entrepreneur and master craftsman, Larry had a talent for DIY projects and home renovations. He was a devoted brother, father, grandfather, and husband.

Larry found joy in the simple pleasures of life. He was an avid fisherman, camper, swimmer, gardener, and boater, and loved to watch football. His heart belonged to the outdoors and he found his slice of heaven in Florida's freshwater springs.

He is survived by his loving wife and soulmate of 53 years, Nancy Campbell; daughter Crystle Kearley and son-in-law Kristopher Kearley; son Austin Campbell and daughter-in-law Lena Campbell; grandchildren Killian and Addilyn Kearley, and Aiden and Alyssa Campbell—all of whom reside in the Jacksonville area. He also leaves behind his sister Connie Zukowski and brother-in-law Dan Zukowski, brother Stacy Crumpton, and a large extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Larry’s passing followed complications from a surgery in January 2023. He was a fighter and despite the challenges he faced his spirit remained strong. Special thanks to his devoted wife Nancy and daughter Crystle for their steadfast love, devotion, and selflessness as Larry's personal health advocates and caregivers during the final years of his life.

He was known to his four young grandchildren as their "Papa." While his grandchildren could not understand why he could no longer walk or speak it did not stop them from playing with him. They enjoyed his goofy sense of humor and his ability to make every activity fun! He loved every minute he was able to play and connect with them.

Larry shared his kind, loving, and friendly spirit with not only family and friends, but anyone that he encountered. He will truly be missed and the memories of his life treasured. He was an AMAZING man!

A graveside service will be held at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, on September 29, 2025, from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.
