Lawrence "Pete" Walker

Lawrence "Pete" Ray Walker, Jr., age 68, of Interlachen, Florida passed away on December 27, 2022. He was born in Beckley, West Virginia on August 22, 1954 to Lawrence Ray Walker, Sr. and Edna Marie Walker.

His education was some high school, the Marine Corp and Life. He was a helicopter gunner in Vietnam, with a rank of Gunnery Sergeant, serving in the US Marines from December 27, 1971 through March 24, 1987. He married Patricia Ann Walker on August 8, 1972. After his service in the Marines he worked as a truck driver and diesel mechanic.

"Pete" enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping, traveling, grilling, helping people and hanging out with his family.

Survived by sister, Anita Smith; brother-in-law, Henry Smith; sister, Cookie Collier; daughter, Tammy Knoles; son, Peter Walker; granddaughter, Maysie Walker; son, Christopher Walker; daughter-in-law, Deborah Walker; granddaughter, Julie Walker; and granddaughter, Natalie Walker.

Preceded in death by loving wife, Patricia Ann Walker; father, Lawrence Ray Walker, Sr.; mother, Edna Marie Walker; and brother, Bobby Walker.

A memorial service for "Pete" will be held Monday, January 2, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Wayside Assembly of God, 10440 New Kings Road, Jacksonville, FL 32219.
