Leona G. Ball age 87 was born on October 9, 1925, in Alexandria, Pennsylvania and was a lifelong resident of Jacksonville, Florida. She passed in peace on January 21, 2013 after a long term illness. Mrs. Ball was a professional seamstress and proudly worked with servicemen and woman in Jacksonville altering, mending, and expertly aligning military insignia for inspections. She is survived by four brothers, one daughter, three grandchildren, eight grand-grandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. The Anderson boys, nieces and nephews, too numerous to count, and her large extended family at Signature HealthCare of Orange Park. Her work of love is finished on this earth and she has gone home to our Father in Heaven where her beloved husband of 60 years waits no longer.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Hardage-Giddens Town and Country Funeral Home. A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, January 27, 2013 at 2:00 pm at the home of her grandson and granddaughter, Brian and Lisa Mers, Milk and Honey Farms located at 5310 Longbranch Road, Maxville, FL 32234.
