

Georgia Louise Perkinson, age 96, passed away November 3, 2017 in Jacksonville, Florida. Louise was born on February 12, 1921 in South Carolina to George and Daisy Hayden. She was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church, sang in the church choir, and loved attending her Sunday school class. Louise retired from Blue Cross and Blue Shield after many dedicated years as a supervisor. She loved to sew in her spare time. Louise loved her family; she was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend. She was a very colorful person and it showed in her dress, her home, and her personality. She loved to shop especially for jewelry. She was a great encourager and had a way of making everyone feel special.
Louise is preceded in death by her husband Joseph F. Perkinson; and her grandson Brandon M. Hubbard. She is survived by her daughters Faith Mansell (Barry) and Tina Hubbard; grandchildren Robin L. Presley, Hayden C. Hubbard, and Stephanie M. Merrick (David); and great-grandchildren Ben, Alex, Bonnie, Hayden, Piper, Brandon, and Madison.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior beginning at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be designated to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida or Hillcrest Baptist Church to the Phillip Crump Sunday School Class.
HARDAGE-GIDDENS RIVERSIDE MEMORIAL PARK AND FUNERAL HOME, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, is serving the family.
