Mae Bell Napier born May 25, 1936 in Juliette, GA , went to be with her Lord and Savior, October 9, 2021 while surrounded by her children in her home. Mae Bell graduated from Jones County High School on May 28, 1956. Shortly after graduating, she moved to Florida where she remained for the rest of her life. Mae Bell married Jimmie H. Wilson October 26, 1957, and they had six children. She worked several different jobs over the years, but focused most of her time and energy staying home to raise her children. Mae Bell enjoyed writing poetry, making ceramics and painting them, working on her family tree, baking banana nut bread and pumpkin bread, and making potato candy. She especially loved learning sign language, and she took classes for 3 years at Evangel Temple where she attended church until her health declined. She would practice sign language at home by watching DVDs and computer programs. She enjoyed attending Deaf events and sitting with the Deaf people at her church. Mae Bell never met a stranger. She loved people and they loved her. Her home was always open to anyone needing help. Mae Bell had a great sense of humor and laughed often!
Mae Bell is survived by her six children Cindy Halstead, Jack Wilson (Melody), Brian Wilson (Karen), Wesley Wilson, Jamie Wilson, Jeannie Touchton (Luby), numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and brother Randy Toland. She is preceded in death by her father Earnest Gross, mother Willie Mae Rittenberry Toland, brothers Ronald Toland, Keith Toland, Danny Toland and sister Lois Patton.
