With profound sadness and heartfelt remembrance, the family of Manuel P. Sy announces his passing on April 25, 2025, at the age of 64.
Born on November 6, 1960, in Dagupan City, Philippines, Manuel was a dedicated husband, a nurturing father, a loyal friend, an uncle, a brother and a self-proclaimed foodie. He also had a love of music and found joy in playing the acoustic guitar.
Manuel is survived by his siblings: Ernesto Sy (Gina), Carmelita Burnsed, Leticia Crusit (Roger), Cesar Sy (Rowena) and William Sy
He is also cherished by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, lifelong friends, and all those fortunate enough to have known him.
He is preceded in death by his daughter, Maida Marie King Sy; his wife, Nida King Sy; his sister, Elena Manzanilla (Carlito); and his parents, Josefina Sy and Felipe Sy.
A celebration of his life will take place on May 3rd, 2025, at Chapel Hills Cemetery at 10 AM.
Though Manuel is no longer with us, his spirit continues to live on in the hearts of those he touched, and he will be deeply missed.
A graveside service for Manuel will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at Chapel Hills Cemetery, 850 St. Johns Bluff Road North, Jacksonville, FL.
