Margaret Lynn Hyde

Margaret L Hyde, 88, of Clearwater, FL, peacefully passed away on 13 Jan 2022 surrounded by loved ones. Margaret was born on 23 Feb 1933, a guarded secret till her last days. She grew up in Chattanooga, TN, which explains why she attended and graduated from the University of Tennesee, GO VOLS. After graduation, she married and started her journey in life. Margaret treasured knowledge, education for herself and others. She was determined to pass that love on to others. Margaret was passionate about teaching and inspired countless students and teachers over her entire career. After Margaret retired, she continued to assist others in their educational, and spiritual needs. Also, in anything that dealt with wildlife, nature, and the environment, Margaret was unmatched in her level of passion. She donated time, money, and effort in furthering the success of numerous programs. I will mention the one program which filled her so much joy, and to which she donated her countless hours and established innumerable friendships, the YMCA, in Denver. The satisfaction and happiness she received from her involvement in these programs were limitless. Spiritually, Margaret spent energy, time and donated her money to Heritage United Methodist Church. The church gave her a place to grow in her knowledge of the LORD and develop many lifelong friends. I (her son) cannot express my thanks and gratefulness for all those involved with HUMC. Margaret had 5 children which she cherished. Those children had 11 grandchildren with she adored as grandmothers do. Margaret was predeceased by her parents and three children, Gordon, Stephanie, and Cynthia. She is survived by her sons, Rodney and Jerry and eleven grandchildren. Services will be held on March 31 in Clearwater. Please consider a donation to any organization dealing with wildlife and/or the environment.
