Maria or as her loved ones called her, Malu, had a 25 year career with Holy Spirit Catholic School. She loved all of her students as if they were her own children. Malu formed many bonds with the staff and families of Holy Spirit and enjoyed being surrounded by them at every Sunday mass. Malu’s passions in life included cooking up her traditional Filipino meals on a daily and weekly basis, but what she was most passionate about was her family. Family and God were always on the forefront for her.
Malu was the life of the party and made sure everyone was having a good time and most importantly, she always made sure everyone ate. Her famous line we’ll all remember, “did you eat” will be missed being heard.
Malu was preceded in death by her son Vicente Go (Siantee). She is survived by her husband of 48 years Mark, and their 3 children Maribeth Roberts (son in law Chris Roberts) son Louis Riskin, and daughter Marsha Riskin. Malu had 2 beautiful grandchildren she adored, William Kayser (Kasper) and Cooper Roberts. Numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, and cousins in the Philippines, and not to mention all of the friends that have turned into family over the decades. Her memory is something we can all cherish and praise.
