Marian E. Cassidy, 90, passed away July 30, 2017, in Jacksonville, FL. Born in Hartsville, SC to David Woodruff Fields and Bertha Marie Alexander Fields. Mrs. Cassidy is predeceased in death by her parents, a sister, Dorothy Atkinson, her husband, the love of her life, William H. Cassidy, a daughter, Iris Lynn and three grandsons. She is survived by her daughters, Marian Gail Williams (John), Judy Barrett (Bill) and Cara Gapinski (Roger). Sons, William H. Cassidy Jr. (Stephanie), David “Buck” Cassidy (Susy), Cidd Cassidy (Laurian) and Carl Cassidy (Ann). She was a proud Grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. Mrs. Cassidy also deeply appreciated her loving friends and support over the years. Mrs. Cassidy was a life time member of the Jacksonville Garden Club receiving the Golden Gardner award, Retired Officers Wives Club, American Legion Auxiliary and Ladies Auxiliary
VFW. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 2, 2017, at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be Thursday, August 3, 2017, 10:30 a.m., also at Hardgage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home.
