Marjorie Elizabeth Griffin

“Marjorie Elizabeth Griffin, Jacksonville, FL., passed away July 16, 2021 surrounded by her children and extended family. Marjorie was born in Alapha, Ga and resided in Jacksonville, FL., she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years Mathie Griffin, son, Joey Griffin and several siblings W.D. Luke, Lamar Luke, Cleatice Luke, Sam Luke, and Lucy Tucker. Marjorie was survived by her four daughters, Linda Stallings, Sharon Brandies, Carolyn Perry and Jackie Griffin and son, Ray Griffin. Siblings R.M. Luke, Evelyn Griffin, Betty Jo Perrine and Brenda Henderson. Marjorie has several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Marjorie enjoyed being with her family and listening to gospel music. She loved her flowers, feeding her cats, family gatherings and enjoying lunch at her favorite restaurant Cracker Barrel. Marjorie had an electrifying personality and was full of character. She was always sure to brighten the room with her presence. She will be greatly missed.

A visitation for Marjorie will be held Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Hardage-Giddens Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida. A funeral service will occur Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10:00 AM, 7242 Normandy Boulevard, Jacksonville, Florida 32205. A graveside service will occur Friday, July 23, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Riverside Memorial Park.
