Marjorie Jones passed away peacefully on Friday January 3, 2014. “Margie” was a devoted wife to Fred Jones for 25 years and a loving Mom to her children Kristin, Cherry, and Tommy. She led the brownie troops, helped her kids run for student government, made outfits for plays when they were young, loved to play tennis at the Club Continental and as she got older, her love of crafts and crocheting are warm memories that she is leaving behind. Those that knew her will remember her strength and opinions! Margie was a strong woman and fought hard to stay here on earth, but God knew her pain and gracefully took her home. She had a good heart and loved her animals. The best comfort in the world is knowing that she is no longer in pain and she is rejoined with God in heaven and her son Tommy Fletcher, parents Gerald and Lorraine, as well as all her family and loved ones that paved the way for her path into heaven. We imagine her pets of the past Buttons, Holly and all others are wagging their tails in joy as she greeted them again. We look forward to seeing you again one day, your loving husband, family and friends: Fred Jones, Kristin and Jeff Petersen, Larry and Karen Jones, Dianne and Gary Turner, Shirley Becker, Cherry and Stephen Foster, Ashley and Chris Falkman, Brittany, Natalie, Brandon, Brooke, Taylor and Gavin Foor, April Williams and many other extended friends and family members. We love you Mom and we miss you already. “Dear Lord, relying on your promises to us, I turn to you in trust that my mother is with you and that she is enjoying your loving embrace. You alone know how she loved the best she could and she faithfully endured the struggles she faced. I ask you this with faith in the resurrection, trusting my mother’s love, and desiring that she knows my love for her. Amen.” Graveside services will be 11:00 am Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Riverside Memorial Park, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205, www.townandcountryfuneralhome.com.
