Marsha Carol Greene, age 71, passed away in Jacksonville, FL on December 28, 2025. She was born in Atlanta, GA to Harold and Janice Dortch, on September 16, 1954. She had attended Paxon High School before marrying Michael Greene on April 25, 1986.
She was an exceptional seamstress in her early years, working in production until becoming a housewife. She was a loving mother, wife and gentle spirit that planted flowers in the garden every spring so she could watch the butterflies and hummingbirds. She also enjoyed spending her time curled up, reading a good book.
Marsha Carol is survived by her husband of over 39 years, Michael Greene; daughter, Sonia Makepeace; son and daughter-in-law, Brian and Julia Armstrong; grandsons, Michael Melecio, Justin Smith and Jeremy Humphries; great-grandson, Legend Lovett and brother, Lawrence Dortch, all of Jacksonville, FL.
Preceded in death by father, Harold Dortch; mother, Janice Dortch; brothers, Daniel Dortch, Robert Dortch and Ronald Dortch.
A visitation will be held at Hardage-Giddens, Riverside Memorial Park & Funeral Home, located at 7242 Normandy Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205. The visitation is scheduled for January 8, 2026, from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
