Mary Ellen Belisario Barber, 60, a life-long resident of Jacksonville, FL, passed away unexpectedly on November 2, 2016. A devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, friend, and most of all an adoring Nana.
Mary was born Mary Ellen Donahue on August 7, 1956. She was dedicated to her profession for many years as Enrollment Administrator at Jones College. Mary graduated from Englewood High School, and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Jones College. She worked hard to continue her education and later obtained her Master’s Degree from Everest University. Mary was an avid traveler and had a special fondness for all things Disney. She was a voracious reader with a great love for the Bible. She enjoyed music, crocheting, crafts, crossword puzzles, and genealogy. Above all, Mary had a passion and love for Jesus and she cherished her family-especially her “grands”.
Mary had a smile that could light up a room and her youthful and playful spirit will be greatly missed.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband of 38 years Charles Barber just weeks earlier.
