Mary Elizabeth Jay, 60, passed away Monday, March 2, 2015 in Green Cove Springs, FL. She was born December 2, 1954 to Robert and Mary Elizabeth Alligood in Columbus, GA. Mary loved to garden and spending time with her family. She was an especially good cook. Mary is survived by her husband of 43 years, Mike, one son Michael Christopher Jay, three daughters Chrissy (Rick) Heffner, Sabrina (Mike) Hartsell, Erica Jay, three sisters Linda (Dennis) Feehley, Nancy (Jimmy) McClain, Carolyn Adams, one brother William Alligood, three grandchildren Ricky Heffner, Hunter Hartsell, Nolan Hartsell, numerous nieces and nephews and several great nieces. Arrangements under the care of Hardage-Giddens Town & Country Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd., Jacksonville, FL 32205. A visitation will be held in the chapel on Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 6-8pm. Funeral services to be held on Monday, March 9, 2015 at 11:00am in the chapel with interment to be at Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 Main St., Jacksonville, FL 32206 following the funeral service.
